Kidney stones are relatively common and recent research indicates their incidence in the United States is rising over time in both men and women, but most particularly in women. The reason for this increase is not known, but diet and lifestyle factors are considered prime suspects.

The Toll of Kidney Stone Disease

Kidney stone disease affects people in the prime of their lives. Kidney stones can be debilitating and painful, and recurrent stone formation may lead to a decreased quality-of-life, interruptions in work and social commitments, increased utilization of health care, hospitalization, and even kidney damage.

Prevalence of Kidney Stones

The lifetime incidence of kidney stones is nearly 13 percent in men and 7 percent in women. Once an individual has formed a stone, the likelihood of recurrence is 50 percent or greater at five years and up to 80 percent at 10 years.
  • Inpatient hospital stays: For the year 2000 it is estimated that 177,496 adults 20 years or older were admitted to the hospital with "calculus of kidney and ureters" or diagnosis of kidney stones as a primary diagnosis.
  • Physician office and hospital outpatient visits combined: For the year 2000 there were approximately 2,000,000 visits by adults 20 years and older with "calculus of kidney and ureters" or pain for calcium oxalate kidney stones as a listed diagnosis. In the same year there were approximately 2,700,000 visits by adults 20 years and older with "urolithasis"  listed as diagnosis.

Absorption: Liquids vs. Pills

When deciding what is going to be the best natural supplement, medicine or remedy to buy, should one go with Liquids or Pills? There have been many studies done, and the resounding answer is that the benefits of a liquid far outweigh pill-based products. One of the most referred-to statements is found in the Physician’s Desk Reference. In this widely used medical reference book, it is noted that liquids can be absorbed up to 98%. Where as it states the absorption rate of pills and capsules is 5% - 18%. This means that 80-95% of the ingredients contained in pills are excreted or eliminated from the body, which in itself can be very difficult on one’s system. When this is translated into monetary terms, for every $100 spent on pills, approximately $90 ends up being flushed down the toilet. In contrast, liquid forms of the same supplement has an absorption rate of up to 98%.

Liquids:

  • Liquids are prepared utilizing fresh elements

  • Fewer doses required to receive the same amount absorbed into the body

  • Liquids are far simpler to swallow, particularly for seniors

  • Liquid ingredients are not compressed, which would require additional digestion by the human body before being assimilated in the body

  • Liquids are quickly absorbed by the body, resulting in faster (desired) effects

  • Unlike pills, liquids are not powdered – this means that liquids do not require any sort of buffers, binders or fillers, which would (again) cause an additional delay in digestion – in other words, taking more time to enter the bloodstream

  • Liquids do not “clog” sewers, cesspools, or septic systems

Kidney Complete Ingredients

Activated Apple Cider Vinegar:  We use a proprietary process to create what we call Activated Apple Cider Vinegar. Apple cider vinegar, otherwise known as cider vinegar or ACV, is a type of vinegar made from cider and has a pale to medium amber color. Our unpasteurized and organic ACV contains mother of vinegar, which makes the vinegar look cloudy.

Beets: The beetroot is the taproot portion of the beet plant, usually known in North America as the beet, also table beet, garden beet, red beet, or golden beet. Most beet products are made from sugar beet. Beetroot is an excellent source of folate and a good source of manganese.

Blueberry: We think blueberries are vital in any kidney cleanse. Blueberries are one of the most nutrient dense foods in the world and contains large levels and a broad range of antioxidants.

Calcium: Calcium is the most abundant mineral in the human body. Approximately 99 percent of calcium is present in the bones and teeth, which leaves only about one percent in cells and body fluids. Although only a small amount of calcium is in the blood, the body goes to great lengths to balance blood-calcium levels within a relatively narrow range. If levels drop too low, intestinal calcium absorption can go up, calcium can be released from bones, and the kidneys calcium excretion and retention within the kidneys inversely increases.

Chanca Piedra: Chanca piedra, or phyllanthus niruri, the literal translation is "stone breaker." Phyllanthus niruri is a widespread tropical plant commonly found in coastal areas, known by the common names gale of the wind, stonebreaker or seed-under-leaf. It is a relative of the spurges, belonging to the Phyllanthus genus of Family Phyllanthaceae.

Cinnamon: Cinnamon is a spice obtained from the inner bark of several trees and is used in both sweet and savory foods. The term "cinnamon" also refers to its mid-brown color. Cinnamon is the name for perhaps a dozen species of trees and the commercial spice products that some of them produce.

Citrus Bioflavonoids: Citrus bioflavonoids have outstanding vitamin and mineral properties.

Cranberry: Cranberries are a source of antioxidants, and are always under active research for other possible benefits. Raw cranberries have moderate levels of vitamin C, dietary fiber and the essential dietary mineral, manganese.

Hibiscus - This herb is consumed in many parts of the world as a tea.  Dried hibiscus is edible, and it is often a delicacy in Mexico. It can also be candied and used as a garnish, usually for desserts. The roselle is used as a vegetable. The species of Hibiscus is known in the Philippines for being a souring ingredient for almost all local vegetables and menus.

Honey – Honey contains essential trace vitamins and minerals.  Vitamins and Minerals are essential to good health. We use Honey not only for its nutritional values but to use it as a healthy sweetener that doesn't hurt or mess with your natural sugar levels.

L-Arginine:  Arginine is an amino acid, and is classified as a semi essential or conditionally essential amino acid, depending on the developmental stage and health status of the individual. Preterm infants are unable to synthesize or create arginine internally, making the amino acid nutritionally essential for them. Most healthy people do not need to supplement with arginine because their body produces sufficient amounts.

L-Taurine - Taurine is an organic acid and classified as one of the amino acids. While taurine is sometimes called an amino acid, and indeed is an acid containing an amino group, it is not an amino acid in the usual biochemical meaning of the term.

*This ingredient is not used in shipments intended for use in Japan or Korea.

Lemon Juice Concentrate: The lemon (Citrus × limon) is a species of small evergreen tree native to Asia. The tree's ellipsoidal yellow fruit is used for culinary and non-culinary purposes throughout the world, primarily for its juice, which has both culinary and cleaning uses. The pulp and rind (zest) are also used in cooking and baking. The juice of the lemon is about 5% to 6% citric acid, which gives a sour taste. The distinctive sour taste of lemon juice makes it a key ingredient in drinks and foods such as lemonade and lemon meringue pie.

L-Lysine – Lysine is an amino acid that is used in the biosynthesis of proteins. It is essential in humans, meaning the body cannot synthesize it and thus it must be obtained from the diet.

Natural Flavorings: We use natural flavorings to help with the bitter and acidic taste of the Apple Cider Vinegar while enhancing the natural fruit taste.

Natural Juices –Juices are an excellent way to stay hydrated and also help with your body's natural ability to balance and cleanse the body. Fruit juices are usually also an excellent source of citric acid.

Parsley: Parsley is a source of flavonoid and antioxidants, especially luteolin, apigenin, folic acid, vitamin K, vitamin C, and vitamin A. Excessive consumption of parsley should be avoided by pregnant women. It is safe in normal food quantities, but large amounts may have uterotonic effects.

Passion Flower: Kidney Problems are the last thing you want in your life. They filter all of your liquids and help with many major functions of the body. Native to southeastern parts of the Americas, passionflower is now grown throughout Europe. It is a perennial climbing vine with herbaceous shoots and a sturdy woody stem that grows to a length of nearly 10 meters (about 32 feet). Each flower has 5 white petals and 5 sepals that vary in color from magenta to blue. According to folklore, passionflower got its name because its corona resembles the crown of thorns worn by Jesus during the crucifixion. The passionflower's ripe fruit is an egg-shaped berry that may be yellow or purple. Some kinds of passionfruit are edible.

Peppermint: Peppermint oil contains numerous minerals and nutrients including manganese, iron, magnesium, calcium, folate, potassium, and copper. It also contains omega-3 fatty acids, Vitamin A and Vitamin C.

Pomegranate - Pomegranate seeds provides a lot of vitamins including vitamin C, vitamin K and folate. Pomegranate seeds are an excellent source of dietary fiber which is entirely contained in the edible seeds. People who choose to discard the seeds forfeit nutritional benefits conveyed by the seed fiber and micronutrients. Pomegranate seed oil contains punicic acid, palmitic acid, stearic acid, oleic acid, and linoleic acid. The most abundant phytochemicals in pomegranate juice are polyphenols, including the tannins formed when ellagic acid and/or gallic acid binds with a carbohydrate to form pomegranate ellagitannins. The red color of juice can be attributed to anthocyanins, The same thing in our tart cherry juice. Generally, an increase in juice pigmentation occurs during fruit ripening.

Potassium: Adequate potassium intake is achieved by eating a variety of foods. Potassium is present in all fruits, vegetables, meat and fish. Foods with high potassium concentrations include yam, parsley, dried apricots, milk, chocolate all nuts (especially almonds and pistachios), potatoes, bamboo shoots, bananas, avocados, coconut water, soybeans, and bran. Dried apricots have the highest concentration of potassium by weight of any food.

Raspberry: Raw raspberries are the best raspberries. In a 100 gram amount, raspberries supply 53 calories. The fruit structure contributes to raspberry's nutritional value, as it increases the proportion of dietary fiber, which is among the highest known in whole foods, up to 6% fiber per total weight. Raspberries are a rich source of vitamin C, manganese and dietary fiber. Yellow raspberries and others with pale-colored fruits are lower in anthocyanin content. Both yellow and red raspberries contain carotenoids but these are masked by anthocyanins in red raspberries.

Stevia: Stevia is a plant that is native to South America. It is probably best known as a source of natural sweeteners. In fact, native people in South America have used stevia as a sweetener for hundreds of years.

Turmeric - The ingredient that most people look for in turmeric is curcumin. Curcumin is a bright yellow chemical produced by some plants. It is a member of the ginger family. It is sold as an herbal supplement, cosmetics ingredient, food flavoring and food coloring.

Vanilla: Vanilla extract is chiefly composed of simple and complex sugars, essential oils, vitamins, and minerals. Its extract contains small amounts of B-complex groups of vitamins such as niacin, pantothenic acid, thiamin, riboflavin and vitamin B-6. This condiment spice also contains small traces of minerals such as calcium, magnesium, potassium, manganese, iron and zinc.

The B Vitamins - B vitamins are found in whole unprocessed foods. The B vitamins are a group of water-soluble vitamins that play important roles in your body.

Vitamin E: We think Vitamin E is one of the most beneficial vitamins for you.  As a supplement, Vitamin E has a number of health benefits. The most common forms of Vitamin E can be  found in corn oil, soybean oil, margarine, and dressings.

Vitamin C - Their are many Vitamin C Benefits that help your body's natural ability to cleanse and detox. Vitamin C also contains a proper balance of the major essential buffering minerals: 1) potassium, 2) magnesium, 3) calcium, and 4) zinc. We think Vitamin C is always a good choice.

Zinc - Zinc is an amazing vitamin. A daily intake of zinc is recommended by us because the body has no specialized zinc storage system. We think Zinc helps with overall health.
